Now That’s Love {Seattle Locals}
Posted on April 16, 2011
I love Seattle.
I love that I am a local.
I love being a tourist in my own neighborhood.
Recently, while downtown at Pike’s Place Market with my visiting in-laws, I happened across a musician that warmed my heart. I noticed his guitar case open on the concrete as I walked past him.
It caught my attention.
I was compelled to turn back.
He smiled and nodded at me as he strummed his guitar and sang, letting me know it was okay to take his photo, as I gestured inquisitively in adoration.
I had a moment.
A moment where I took a tiny bit of my heart and left it in a guitar case.
Next to my $5 bill, among all the others.
Just because I believe in love. Even if the note in his case wasn’t true. I like to imagine it is, and if not, that this musician has a soft spot for hopeless romanticism.

ADORE this…. and you!
I bet its true. It YOU were the daughter of an Ohio concrete king, wouldn’t you fall for a northwestern street musician…..? I would.
I wouldn’t care if the note were true or not either.
Very cool!
